Exchange student experience

Join us for a presentation from Tara Lyon who will share her experience as an exchange student.

Tara has worked in health care communications for Doctors of BC since 2002. Her roles have included writing, editing, online content management, and media relations support and training for doctors around the province. She currently works as the Editorial and Production Coordinator for the organization's flagship publication, the BC Medical Journal. 

Tara was attending high school in Port Hardy, BC, when she was accepted into the Rotary Exchange Student program. She spent her Grade 12 year studying in Vienna, Austria through the program, staying with four local host families. During the course of her stay she learned to speak fluent German, visited many other countries in Europe, and developed a life-long interest in European politics, WWII history, and travelling around the globe.
