This week it has become quite clear how very delicately Jacob's life hung in the balance.  He really was not considered to live through the accident itself, let alone the transport to the hospital or further over to RCH.  And yet here we are, encouraging his recovery.
 
Many of you have provided care in ways not necessarily typical in such a situation, and I offer my appreciation to you.
 
As I have noted, his progress in incremental.  He does look better every day, and now he can use the walker from his room to the desk. However, c-diff is a significant issue at this stage. We still don't know if his eye can be saved, but no news is good news. 
 
I have mentioned a GoFundMe account was being created.  His cousins - those feisty girl cousins of his - have created a page to start the process of raising funds for whatever resources he will need.
