Gavin Dew
Abbotsford Tech District

Gavin Dew is the Chief Strategic Advisor to Abbotsford Tech District, a proposed innovation district on Sumas Mountain, designed to help secure Abbotsford’s place as the agricultural technology and food security hub of BC. The project would see billions of dollars in private sector capital invested in Abbotsford over several decades.

As an entrepreneur, executive, and advisor to decision-makers in large companies and organizations, Gavin has been involved with navigating some of the most complex and challenging commercial and political environments in Canada, with billions of dollars in investment and thousands of local jobs at stake.

Gavin has a BA from UBC and an MBA from Oxford, where he wrote a thesis on social license, or how companies get permission from communities to do things. He serves on the boards of the Business Council of British Columbia and the Veterans Transition Network. He is a proud father, an active advocate for young families, and the spouse of a Rotary District President.
